Weddings in 2025 are all about personalisation, unforgettable experiences, and a relaxed, stylish approach to tradition. From whole weekend celebrations to chic city elopements, couples are redefining what a wedding looks like. Think content creators capturing every candid moment, fusion menus that blend cultures, and post-dinner cocktail hours designed to keep the party going. Whether it’s micro weddings with big impact or cowgirl chic fashion statements, these trends are shaping the way couples say “I do” in the most memorable way possible.
Whole weekend weddings
With brides and grooms run off their feet during the day, more and more couples are opting to extend the celebrations to ensure they get maximum time with their nearest and dearest. From pre-wedding drinks and dinner to day-after brunches, lunches and pool parties, a wedding no longer encapsulates just one day: it’s a whole weekend.
Content creators
Not quite a photographer and not quite a videographer: a content creator is someone whose job is to make your wedding look incredible on social. From going behind the scenes of the getting ready room to capturing the guests and ushers mingling pre-ceremony to those memorable dancefloor moments, it’s a trend that emerged in the UK in 2024 and looks set to explode in 2025.
Micro weddings
Those looking to make their budgets go further and really indulge their nearest and dearest are throwing smaller-than-average weddings (less than 50 guests, if you want to put a label on it). Hosting a micro wedding means that it can be easier for couples to bring their moodboards to life, opens the doors to different and unique venues like restaurants or boutique hotels, and ultimately means that the bride and groom can spend more time with loved ones on the big day itself. Easy to see why it’s a fast-growing wedding trend in 2025.
City chic weddings
Hand in hand with the micro wedding is the city chic wedding. Whether it’s a legal wedding hosted at a town hall as a precursor to a destination wedding, or simply an homage to a city the couple loves, the town hall wedding has never been more chic. Couples are pairing town hall bookings with simple or even short dresses, editorial photography, laidback drinks, photos amongst beloved city landmarks, and wedding breakfasts hosted at restaurants that are part of their love story.
Multicultural fusion cuisine
Fusion cuisine is thriving across the events and restaurant industries, so it’s no surprise to see it booming at weddings too. Whether couples are looking to represent each of their heritage and culture or simply want to enjoy two cuisines they love, fusion offers a way to change up traditional wedding catering. Caterers like The English Indian or Sweet Dee’s Jerk are continuing to delight customers in 2025 with their fresh offerings.
Large Italian style wedding cakes
After a few years of small, vintage style cakes with frosting, large Italian style wedding cakes are due their moment. Piled high with fruits and sometimes flowers, they make a huge visual impact in an effortlessly chic sort of way.
Post-dinner cocktail hour
After speeches and feasting, many weddings have an hour or so of “downtime” to fill before the party starts. Many couples are opting to bring in specialist suppliers for cocktail hour - whether it’s espresso martinis, Aperol spritzes, mocktails, or a speciality creation based on the couple. It’s a great way to bring energy back into the room and get people ready to dance the night away.
Cowgirl chic
From the “coastal cowgirl” aesthetic that’s taken TikTok by storm to cowgirl-themed hen weekends, one thing’s for sure: if you’re a 2025 bride, you’ve probably considered or even purchased white cowboy boots, a tasselled jacket, or a cowboy hat.
Wholesome hens
Activity led, alcohol free hen parties or weekends are an increasing trend. Where once a hen do was a wild night out in one of the UK’s cities, more and more bridesmaids and brides are planning hen weekends in countryside getaways. Grazing boards, brunch spreads, private chefs, garden party themed picnics and cocktail masterclasses are all on the agenda for hen weekends in 2025.
Relaxed & wildflowers
Laidback and relaxed is the name of the game when it comes to wedding bouquets in 2025 and 2026. Wildflowers and local British flowers are all popular, in part as they keep costs down and in part because they bring to life a soft, whimsical aesthetic that is popular across all aspects of a 2025 wedding - and they can be more sustainable too.

How F&B plays into your sporting event's sustainability strategy
Bella Jolly
At any sporting event, food and drink are amongst the most visible parts of the fan experience. The same is true of sustainability: from packaging to portion sizes, almost every aspect of an event’s F&B offering plays a role in its environmental footprint. In line with the growing formalisation of high-level sustainability requirements, UEFA released their first guidelines for sustainability in catering in 2023. It’s a vast document, with guidelines available for both hospitality caterers and concessions, and covers off recommendations on everything from ingredient sourcing to menu design to waste management: all things that we at Togather facilitate and champion when placing street food traders at any event.
